PILATES TRAINING

Pilates is an exercise system created by Joseph Pilates. Mr. Pilates believed that mental and physical health are interconnected. He lived by and incorporated several principles into his practice, which he termed, Contrology: breath, centering, concentration, precision, control, and flow. Practicing each exercise with these principles in mind, Pilates develops a strong balanced body with emphasis on core, strength, flexibility and posture.

 

Because not every person is the same, Mr. Pilates also designed apparatus to assist in the fulfillment of each exercise and meet the needs of the practitioners. Here, at RA Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, we utilize the Cadillac, Reformer and Mat work to modify for a range of experience levels and adapt to the needs of the individual. Potential harmful exercise movements with unsound bio-mechanical principles are avoided.

 

The emphasis is not on the quantity, but the quality and precision of the movement. That is what you will experience at RA Physical Therapy.

One hour individual session: $50
30 min individual session: $30

 

Mat Pilates classes:
One hour class: $16 per class (minimum group of 3)
30 min class: $8 per class (minimum group of 3)
